Madre Cumbia is a new collaborative album and live project uniting three icons of Colombian music. Los Gaiteros de San Jacinto , the Grammy-winning ensemble from Bolívar, preserves the country's centuries-old gaita traditions. Accordion master Carmelo Torres carries forward the classic sabanera cumbia style, while Medellín's Fruko helped shape modern Colombian salsa and tropical music. Together, they celebrate the roots, evolution, and enduring legacy of cumbia. For fans of: Frente Cumbiero, Los Mirlos, and Celso Piña.
