About this event
The Georgia State University Symphonic Wind Ensemble presents "Mosaics," an evening of music that weaves together diverse voices, styles and traditions into a single, stunning portrait. The program opens with Kimberly Archer's "Fanfare Politea" (2021), conducted by Israel LaFleur, before taking center stage with one of the most beloved works in the American musical canon — George Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue," featuring pianist Mengyao Sun. The concert concludes with the complete "Sinfonia" (2022) by Zhou Tian, a sweeping, large-scale work that showcases the full power and palette of the wind ensemble.
Listed by Georgia State University (Localist), gathered by the Alpharetta events calendar.
