  • The Alpharetta Rotary Foundation is hosting its Polar Bear Plunge charity event at Wills Park Pool on Feb. 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and participants will warm up with coffee at Brewable on Roswell Street after the plunge.  Appen Media
  • The Alpharetta Rotary Club will host a free celebration for seniors on Feb. 13 from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the American Legion Post 201. Attendees aged 55 and older can enjoy line dancing lessons and enter for a chance to be crowned king or queen of the Golden Heart Gala.  Appen Media

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • A new Georgia bill would let residents use drones to locate and trap feral hogs on private property, with no permits required if a hog is killed immediately. The measure would only allow non-weaponized drones + require hunters to follow current trapping rules.  WSB-TV

LIFESTYLE NEWS

  • HOBNOB will host a free Super Bowl watch party on Feb. 8 at its Halcyon (Alpharetta) location with $19.99 all-you-can-eat nachos and game-day drink specials. Other metro venues will offer takeout deals and menus for fans to enjoy the game.  FOX 5 Atlanta
