Good morning, Alpharetta.

USPS Postmaster General Louis DeJoy — who served nearly five years — resigned amid concerns over potential DOGE cuts and mail delays in Georgia.

Deputy Postmaster General Doug Tulino is expected to serve in the interim until the Postal Service Board finds a permanent replacement.

Yesterday the Alpharetta City Council considered a plan for North Point that calls for new parks and mixed-use developments to revive a struggling mall area.

The plan, developed over eight months by consultant team Starr Whitehouse under a $200,000 contract, was discussed alongside proposals for new HVAC at the Community Center, firefighter turnout gear and stream improvements near Old Milton Parkway — promising local action.

The Alpharetta Fire Department is enhancing public access to AEDs and training local volunteers to respond to cardiac arrests before emergency crews arrive.
