- ➤ North Fulton Community Charities will host its second annual Play for Good pickleball tournament on April 26 and April 27 to support its food pantry, emergency assistance and education programs. The tournament includes a beginner’s clinic on the morning of April 26, is held in memory of John Sheffield and has Northside Hospital as its presenting sponsor. Appen Media
- ➤ On March 12, Lionheart Life Center broke ground on a woodworking shed to expand vocational training opportunities — families, participants and staff gathered as the new space will offer hands-on woodworking skills for future employment. Appen Media
- ➤ For over two decades the Alpharetta Lions Club has honored local first responders for their service, and on March 27 it expanded the tribute to include Milton officials. The event recognized honorees including Alpharetta dispatcher Kim West, police officer Corey Segall, firefighter Richard Zabala, Milton dispatcher Machell Stone, police officer Jason Jackson, and firefighter Russell Womack.
