GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ International students from Georgia Tech, UGA, Emory and Kennesaw State have filed a lawsuit alleging that the government violated their Fifth Amendment rights by terminating their visas without notice. The complaint seeks a temporary restraining order to reinstate their legal status and names top officials like Attorney General Pam Bondi and Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem as defendants—while a hearing is scheduled for Thursday morning. - ➤ On March 6, fewer than 10 of over 100 housing bills passed at the Capitol and the session ended April 4 with few fixes for the housing crisis. Lawmakers approved only Bill 399, which now requires absentee landlords to have local agents—other key proposals on rent control and funding were left for future sessions.
