- ➤ On April 12, more than 120 local plant lovers lined up early at The Grove—located behind the Alpharetta Community Center—for the 24th annual Garden Faire sponsored by North Fulton Master Gardeners. - ➤ Casa Nuova in Alpharetta is hosting a special wine dinner fundraiser to raise money for Purple Pansies for cancer support—sommelier Pepe Fundora and winemaker Chris Benzinger will discuss food pairings and Benzinger's personal connection to the nonprofit. FOX 5 Atlanta

- ➤ On April 14th, the Martha Stewart Bulloch Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution honored Centennial High School senior Samer Layous with the $1,000 Marcheta Knight Weitz Scholarship at Roswell Area Park — recognizing his high academic ranking and leadership on the football team. In July, he will attend Marist University in New York — where he hopes to walk on for football while studying business. Appen Media

- ➤ Gov. Brian Kemp will sign two major tax relief bills into law today that will speed up Georgia’s biggest state income tax cut and give a special $1 billion tax refund to eligible taxpayers. The first bill shortens the schedule for the tax cut and the second offers rebates based on filing status that will be paid when 2024 state returns are processed. FOX 5 Atlanta
- ➤ The Alpharetta City Council delayed a vote on a proposal from a youth sports group to redesign Union Hill Park for ice sports and concerts after The Cooler (which is converting to pickleball) stopped hosting ice sports. Council members said they need more details on local participation before moving forward with quick action as tryouts loom later this month. Appen Media
