Here's your local news at a glance for Friday, the 18th of April.
Good morning, Alpharetta.
🎭 Culture
Families across metro Atlanta have many free and low-cost Easter events scheduled from today to April 20th—these include egg hunts, petting zoos and live music as well as helicopter egg drops and a sunrise service at Stone Mountain Park.
In Alpharetta, local events at Halcyon and Avalon offer games, crafts and visits with the Easter Bunny, giving residents plenty of ways to celebrate the holiday.
🏛️ Government
Gov. Brian Kemp met with GOP senators John Thune and Tim Scott during a lunch in Atlanta as he weighs a possible 2026 Senate run to challenge Sen. Jon Ossoff—he signed Georgia’s largest income tax cut earlier this week to deliver over $1 billion in relief.
He will sign a tort reform law on Monday, April 21 that may limit lawsuits against businesses, officials said.
