- ➤ Gov. Kemp signed Senate Bill 68 to change Georgia’s civil litigation system—he named it a key priority before the upcoming General Assembly. Atlanta News First
- ➤ Insurance Commissioner John King said his office has recovered over $100 million for consumers from insurance companies since 2019 after investigating 10,000 to 11,000 complaints each year. He asked the General Assembly to give his office power to impose fines higher than the current $5,000 per offense — a level he calls too low to hold insurers accountable. WSB-TV
- ➤ Governor Brian Kemp signed two tort reform bills into law on Monday afternoon, saying they will reduce rising insurance premiums and curb frivolous lawsuits—limiting when property owners can be held liable for third-party injuries and crimes.
