Alpharetta City Council considered awarding a contract to the North Atlanta Football League on May 5 after earlier stating the league broke agreements.

The league submitted the only bid to use local fields for youth sports and now has a board with at least half Alpharetta residents.

The Milton girls lacrosse team advanced to the Elite Eight after beating Johns Creek High 18-6 at home on May 1 — they now await a game against either Oconee County or Decatur in the next round.
