A local businessman was killed in April when a truck struck him while he was cycling; his family spoke out on May 15—urging drivers and cyclists to share the road—so officials can review safety measures.

Local organizers provided ideas for fun summer gatherings to help neighbors connect.

DJ Carter (Tributary at New Manchester) and Whitney Jones (Alliance at New Manchester) offered creative plans that include activities for the upcoming season.

The GHSA lacrosse championships are underway at Denmark High School in Alpharetta as the top-ranked Milton girls will play No. 3 Creekview on Saturday in the Division II final, aiming for their seventh straight title and 18th in 20 years.

Other divisions are also competing—like West Forsyth girls and Roswell boys—as teams vie for state championships this weekend.
