- ➤ Georgia Department of Transportation announced an I-285 closure that will block all lanes between MLK Jr. Drive and Cascade Road from June 5 to 8—drivers should plan extra travel time. FOX 5 Atlanta
- ➤ The Georgia Public Service Commission approved lower rates for Georgia Power that will save a typical customer about $50 a year starting in June, with total annual savings of $285 million. Atlanta News First
- ➤ Alpharetta city council will hold its final vote on a proposed ordinance that bans new pickleball courts within 250 feet of homes on June 1 — residents in Glen Abbey said the noise makes it hard to work or study, and existing courts will be grandfathered in. WSB-TV
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Three metro Atlanta family members tested positive for measles after international travel, and state health officials are tracking anyone who may have been exposed after symptoms appeared.
