- ➤ An Alpharetta woman detained by ICE for over three weeks was granted a $10,000 bond by a judge in El Paso and has returned to be with her husband in Georgia. She applied for asylum after fleeing violence in Colombia—her appeal remains pending—and her husband used savings and donations to raise the bond funds. WSB-TV

- ➤ James Ramsey—an Alpharetta native and 2012 first-round pick—has been named the new head coach of Georgia Tech baseball to replace retiring coach Danny Hall. He began his coaching career at Florida State in 2018 and later helped the team win the 2025 ACC regular season championship. Atlanta News First
- ➤ Atlanta-native and Orlando Magic star Wendell Carter Jr. will host his annual free basketball camp on June 7 at Whitefield Academy from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.—boys in 8th to 12th grades will join drills and workouts and receive lunch and a t-shirt if they register online. FOX 5 Atlanta
