  • On July 11, Forsyth County deputies arrested a 47-year-old Alpharetta woman after she left her 15-year-old Chihuahua-dachshund mix in a car that reached 113 degrees while she got a haircut— the dog, weighing 20 pounds, showed signs of extreme distress.  Appen Media
  • Alpharetta police pursued a black Nissan Rogue carrying three male passengers on July 9 after a report of vehicle burglaries from Sandy Springs — the SUV sped on Webb Bridge Road, ran a red light, and later fled into South Carolina when officers ended the chase.  Appen Media
  • On July 17, law enforcement agencies recovered over $5 million worth of drugs in metro Atlanta—21 people were arrested after search warrants were executed at nine homes linked to a large drug trafficking network supplying middle Georgia.  Atlanta News First
  • Alpharetta police arrested a 47-year-old man and a 44-year-old woman on drug charges during a Ga. 120 stop just west of Morris Road on July 9—officers found marijuana, methamphetamine, opioids and cocaine in the vehicle.  Appen Media

  • Millie Bobby Brown will return to Atlanta this fall to film Netflix's new rom-com 'Just Picture It' (shooting from Sept. 8 to Oct. 29) which follows two college students whose phones show photos from the future. Brown, who filmed Stranger Things in the metro area and co-produced Enola Holmes, will star alongside Gabriel LaBelle.  The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
