- ➤ The North Fulton Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority launched the Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta Academy last weekend to help girls 11 to 14 reach their dreams through math, science, community service and leadership activities + fun field trips. - ➤ The federal exemption that lets alternative fuel vehicles use HOV lanes without a second passenger expires on Sept. 29, GDOT said. EV and hybrid drivers must ride with another person — or face toll charges on I‑85 HOT lanes — as the new rules take effect on Sept. 30. WSB-TV
