  • North Georgia State Fair held Special Friends Day — a VIP event started by Superior Plumbing five years ago — that reserved the fairgrounds exclusively for children and young adults with special needs and their families, welcoming about 550 guests.  FOX 5 Atlanta
  • The City of Alpharetta is asking locals to help convert a farmhouse at Old Rucker Farm into an Agriculture Sustainability Education Center—raising $650,000 for environmental learning and workshops—with construction set to begin in April.  Appen Media

  • The latest Drought Monitor released Thursday showed over 77% of Georgia is abnormally dry with a flash drought that is stressing crops and lawns in metro Atlanta. Farmers worry that nearly a month without rain is harming later plantings—pop-up showers are expected later in the week.  The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

  • Attorneys say several seniors and low-income homeowners risk losing their homes after Fulton County delayed billing heirs for property taxes years after their loved ones died—two class-action lawsuits filed this month claim that the county illegally reversed tax exemptions for heirs.  WSB-TV
