BUSINESS NEWS

  • Alpharetta startup ToDo Robotics will hold a live demo and interview—showcasing robots designed to serve restaurants and other businesses. The demonstration is expected to show how the technology could change how food and service are delivered.  FOX 5 Atlanta

CULTURE NEWS

  • Hispanic Heritage Month is observed from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15 to celebrate Latin culture and history and has featured events in metro Atlanta and North Georgia. Local celebrations—ranging from soccer matches and film festivals to art exhibits and dinners—have drawn community attention with some events already held and others scheduled later this month.  FOX 5 Atlanta

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Federal workers in metro Atlanta are worried that Congress will not reach a budget deal by Oct. 1—putting about 60,000 workers at risk of furloughs and delayed pay until a new plan is approved.  Atlanta News First
  • Senators Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock asked Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and ICE acting director Todd Lyons for details on the deaths of two immigrants in custody since May — they criticized delays in the agency’s reporting of the fatalities.  The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
