Good morning, Alpharetta.

Nonprofit Hosea Helps provided free meals to families during its Thanksgiving giveaway on November 27th.

The event attracted one of its largest crowds in years — a sign of strong local support as volunteers served many in need.

A list details that ice skating rinks in metro Atlanta and North Georgia will offer skating this holiday season, with venues like Alpharetta's Avalon on Ice open from November to early next year.

Ticket prices range from $10 to $45 and some rinks offer discounts for healthcare workers, teachers and first responders.

Tens of thousands of runners took part in two major Thanksgiving Day races yesterday — running on routes through well-known neighborhoods and raising funds for local charities.
