- ➤ Metro Atlanta’s largest Toys for Tots drive aims to collect an additional 185,000 toys by Sunday as local donors contribute to support families during the holiday season. FOX 5 Atlanta
- ➤ Lazy Dog offered gingerbread house kits on Friday, Dec. 12 with proceeds benefiting Habitat for Humanity (a local nonprofit supporting housing) in Alpharetta. The fundraiser helped nurture community support for home-building efforts. FOX 5 Atlanta
- ➤ Businesswoman Alexis Vaughn said a teller froze her account at Ameris Bank in Alpharetta the day before Thanksgiving when she requested a new debit card, an action she believes stemmed from racial profiling. The bank later unfroze her account and promised a full investigation along with improved teller training (she holds four accounts with the bank). WSB-TV
