- ➤ A retired NFL player from metro Atlanta, Darryl 'Buster' Skrine, was arrested in Roswell on Wednesday morning on 18 charges for allegedly using dating apps to scam women out of $300,000 to fund a lavish lifestyle—police said he removed his GPS monitor after fleeing Canadian check fraud charges. - ➤ Fulton County Sheriff Labat told Atlanta City Council that ending the jail lease next year will make the crowded county jail even more dangerous—he said planned fixes at Rice Street will cost too much and take too long. Labat warned that unsafe conditions may lead to more violence and lawsuits if the lease is terminated. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
